Time Warner Cable largely responsible in fatal explosion

Time Warner Cable must pay nearly &u0024;6 million as part of a lawsuit alleging it was largely responsible for a fatal natural gas explosion that leveled an upscale Kansas City restaurant, jurors ruled Thursday.

Natural gas explosions due to negligence in installing or maintaining utility lines are not everyday occurrences but, when the do happen, they tend to cause major devastation.  In this case, the explosion killed one restaurant worker and injured 12 other people.  A jury apportioned 98 % of the fault to cable provider Time Warner.
