Investigation Begins in Park Tree Fall Incident in Pasadena

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — It was another sunny and hot day in the fourth year of a severe, unrelenting drought when dozens of children who had just spent the day splashing and playing at a “Water Wonders Camp” heard a loud crack and saw a giant pine tree hurtling toward them.

Trees are heavy objects that can wreak havoc when the fall.  Such was the case recently in a public park in Pasadena, CA.  A very tall pine tree fell and injured several children playing in the park.  I hope that the investigation reveals the cause of this incident so that similar, future tragedies can be avoided.
