Unfortunately, 2014 going into 2015 has been a record time for recalls for automobiles in the U.S.  With all the notices, it may be tempting to just ignore them and keep driving your vehicle but, this would be a huge mistake.  Automobiles are recalled for a reason and that reason is that they contain parts that have or can cause personal injury or death.  This is a great article from Consumer Reports about how to find out if your vehicle is subject to a recall and what to do.
