A new California law will cost motorists more than $200 million to build hydrogen fueling stations, and there are safety issues that come with it.
Governor Jerry Brown recently enacted legislation that will assess fees through the California Department of Motor Vehicles to build hydrogen fueling stations throughout CA. With this, major auto manufacturers like Toyota and Hyundai are set to begin making and selling hydrogen fuel cell cars in the Golden State within the next 5-10 years. Many questions still exist, however, on the safety of this technology. Hydrogen is a very efficient fuel but, it is also highly flammable and combustible. Any accident which causes extensive personal injury or death related to an explosion may prompt product defect litigation in the state and may cause auto insurance carriers to place a higher premium on insuring such vehicles. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is named in a lawsuit filed by a woman who landed in the hospital after consuming a drink with liquid nitrogen in it.
There are a lot of potential causes for burn injuries in and around commercial properties. I have to say that it is rare but, not unheard of for a bar to be serving drinking that catch on fire and cause scalding. The bar can be found legally liable for personal injuries caused by conditions on their property that they create, namely flammable liquids.
