Uber Blog – uberX Eliminates Ridesharing Insurance Ambiguity

Glad to see that #uber ride sharing service is clarifying that they will cover their drivers between passenger pick ups on their auto insurance policy if they are involved in an accident while the app is on but, when they don’t actually have a ride share passenger present in their vehicle.  By law they are also required to maintain a minimum of $1 Million in commercial insurance coverage for 3rd party liability claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims and collision coverage.
