Making something meaningful of a senseless death – The Boston Globe

Last summer, when Merritt Levitan was killed on a group cross-country bicycle trip by a young driver who had been on his cellphone, her friends decided to make something meaningful of her senseless death.

Distracted drivers talking on cell phones kill many people every year in automobile crashes with other autos.  However, bicyclists and pedestrians are particularly vulnerable to these negligent motor vehicle operators.  This is a heartwrenching example of just that!
