Swimming pool drowning accidents occur far too often especially in warm weather climates where households have many pools and hot tubs like Los Angeles.  The frightening statistic pointed out in this article is that almost half of these incidents occur with children under five years old who have not yet learned to swim.  If the drowing incident is the result of property owner negligence such as leaving a safety gate open, failing to secure the pool with fencing or safety nets or other similar causes, it is important to consult with a personal injury attorney familiar with child drowning incidents.
