Deadly car crash spurs lawsuit

Steven M. Sweat‘s insight:

Car fires can and do seriously injure and kill many people every year in California and throughout the U.S. This case alleges that the FJ Cruiser, manufactured by Toyota, was dangerously designed in that the impact management system made the vehicle unreasonably prone to this type of automobile fire in the event of a collision.  Based upon Toyota’s track record in fighting the recent spate of lawsuits related to alleged unintended acceleration, I assume that this will also be a heavily litigated claim.
