Google and Microsoft Introduce Changes to Block Child Sex Searches

Google and Microsoft have introduced software that makes it harder for users to search for child abuse material online, the companies said in a joint announcement Monday.

Steven M. Sweat‘s insight:

As an attorney who represents child sex abuse victims, I can tell you that the vast majority of sexual predators have or do use the internet as a means to obtain sexually explicit material involving children.  I am all for “free speech” but, there is no excuse for content on the web that relates to sex acts with minors.  This is criminal behavior that should be stopped and I’m glad to see Google and Microsoft taking steps to do so.
