Southbound 710 Freeway to reopen after fiery crash

Two southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway were cleared Sunday evening by structural engineers as safe for traffic in the wake of a fiery big-rig tanker crash.

Nothing is more dangerous than a multi-vehicle traffic accident involving a tanker truck carrying gasoline or other flammable materials.  Ignition is, unfortunately, all to easily done on the roadway, which is a disaster for other vehicles in the surrounding areas.  Unfortunately, the 710 freeway has high truck volume due to its proximity to the Los Angeles harbor.
