Big rig accident in Goshen leaves 1 driver dead and traffic backed up for hours

GOSHEN, California – One driver is dead after a messy collision in central California between two big rigs that snarled traffic on State Route 99 for hours.

Steven M. Sweat‘s insight:

This incident appears to have been caused by an improperly loaded or restrained cargo container on one of the big rig trucks that came loose and caused another commercial beer truck to wreck.  Unbalanced or non-secured cargo in semi trucks is a leading cause of trucking accidents in California especially on the more narrow state highways like the 99 through the central valley.
