Not surprising that the Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans are suffering from an inordinate number of spinal injuries.  Spine injury is most often caused by trauma.  Hopefully, the care and treatment rendered to these returning vets will further our understanding of medical diagnosis and treatment of back trauma cases.
