‘Thank God!’ Chris Brown tweets delight as judge dismisses hit-and-run charges Daily Mail City Attorney Patrick Hiscocks disagreed with the dismissal, saying Brown was still on probation at the time of the crash for assaulting…
Looks like Chris Brown may be lucky on two counts.
1. The charges for criminal hit and run or fleeing the scene of an accident have apparently been dismissed by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. In order to convict him of this offense the prosecutor would have had to show that Chris was involved in an accident as a driver that caused injury to another person and knowingly failed to stop and provide information at the scene (See Elements From California Criminal Jury Instructions here: hit and run elements under California Vehicle Code).
2. This could mean that he is not in violation of the terms of his probation in the plea agreement entered in the Rihanna domestic violence case.
