Warning Labels on Helmets Combat Injury and Liability

As lawsuits against manufacturers of football helmets mount, those companies are strengthening the cautions on their products.

Interesting discussion about the adequacy and extent of warning labels on sporting helmets for football and other youth sports.  While every parent should decided whether or not to let their child encounter the inherent risks of head trauma associated with contact sports, as a brain injury attorney, I think it is important that such labels are placed on these helmets so that consumers know that, although they do decrease the likelihood and severity of head injury, they cannot eliminate this risk entirely.
