When voice-activated functionality came out on on mobile phones like Apple’s “Siri” and Google Voice, people thought that this could actually be the end of one motorist’s driving woes. Imagine, just say what you need and what you want the phone to do and it’ll figure things out all by itself.
Not surprisingly, studies are now finding that speech to text services like Apples #SIRI may not decrease #distracteddriving as much as hoped. As an attorney that has handled numerous auto accident claims involving cell phone distractions, I am keenly aware of the dangers this presents. In my opinion, the better practice for all drivers would be to simply pull over if they need to text or talk on the phone or just wait!
